Today we celebrated Father's Day for Zach in our own little fashion. We only had the morning because he's spending the afternoon with the ambulance service EMT class, helping them finish up testing. Then he has a meeting at Camp, and tonight is the official start of Summer Staff Training.
So we started with blueberry muffins and scrambled eggs. The boys made homemade cards for him with drawings of our family, (and a few of their friends standing in with us) drawings of our house, and of Daddy as an angel on a cloud with the words "up, up, up, up" written under the cloud and Josiah standing on the ground looking up at him. I'm sure this was supposed to mean that he thinks his Daddy is so wonderful he could be an angel, but it was a tiny bit disturbing to me... There were also pictures of them flying airplanes with Daddy. The airplanes were bombers on their way to fight the bad guys in the enemy tank on the next page. Josiah was determined to do his own spelling, so his said, "Happy Fosers Day!"
Then we drove down to Cascade campground and hiked to the bottom of the falls. We all had a great time. Brenden walked out of his shoe about 1/2 way, but didn't bother to make a fuss, and I didn't notice it for a long time! Silly kid! He loved being out there and plowed right through the brush to keep up with the big boys and didn't want to be carried! When we got back, Brenden played in the pool while Zach climbed "way up high" in the maple tree with J & C! It's so wonderful to have nice weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!
"PIZZA!!!"
