Off Go the Training Wheels

We finally live in a good place to ride bikes, and we finally got around to teaching Brenden to ride without training wheels!

Go Brenden! He was very ready, it didn't take much, and he's riding like a pro now!

We were doing summer buzz cuts last night and I gave in to the pleading for a mohawk. Why not, it's summer? I told my mom I'd post a pic of the little punk:

Clark Fork River Flooding

The Clark Fork River is flooding and we decided to go check out the falls in Thompson Falls. Pretty impressive!

So far in June

We keep getting teased with beautiful days and sunburns. But the clouds always return. We take FULL advantage of the nice days and look forward to whenever summer will decide to come for real and stick around a while!

It would just not be officially spring without the Vanderwall boys playing in the mud! But remember the rule: if you choose to play in the mud, you WILL be rinsed off with the hose!!!!

Here is Zach fixing my garden frost-free hydrant. It was shooting water out underground and creating a sink hole. oops. There's my garden in the background, I call it my landfill garden because I have milk jugs, pop bottles, and things as hot caps.

Plains Day!

Brenden is jumping for joy waiting for the parade!

Brenden's kinder-prep graduation! He had a great year!

stupid

WHY does it put all those spaces in there, even when I took them out and saved it before I posted? WHY?????

May

Mother's Day breakfast in bed!:

Mystery Guzzle, Brenden vs. Josiah. Brenden was the CHAMP! It seriously made me afraid when I thought of him in college doing drinking games. I'm praying for his protection NOW.

Memorial Day weekend! Got to spend the weekend at my parent's house with family from Spokane, Boise, Chicago, and San Diego!!!!

Zach's birthday was in May also. Unfortunately, he spent it away from us while teaching a course in Whitefish. ...and I didn't take any pictures anyway.

April

Josiah and Conrad were in the Paradise play "Alice in Wonderland". Josiah was the Mad Hatter and Conrad was the Cheshire Cat!

We went to the Silver Mountain Resort for a weekend getaway with friends, this is the 2nd year we've done this. It's a lot of fun!

We headed to Spokane for Easter weekend. Hunting for eggs:
