A real VACATION!

Zach and I went on a vacation to FLORIDA last week! Grandma Marcia came and stayed with the boys here at our house and we took off to spend the week in Venice, FL with Zach's brother Kris and his fiancee Krissy!

We started by spending Sunday night at my parents' house in Spokane and my mom was so great to get up with us at 3am Monday and drove us to the airport!
We spent our days on the beaches and at Krissy's parents' vacation home and in the pool!
It was wonderful!!!!

We really enjoyed hanging out with Kris and Krissy. They'll be getting married in December and we probably wont have another time to hang out before then, so this was great!!!

Swimming in warm waves was so much fun! Except when the (shark?) swam past Zach and I! It's very surprising that I ever got back in!!!

We even got to watch some dolphins swimming and eating. There was a mama and baby swimming together!

This trip worked out so perfectly. Zach turned 30 this Saturday and I really wanted to do something extra special for him, so we started talking about taking a trip. Then we found out that Kris and Krissy would be in Florida and they invited us along and we went for it!! We couldn't have asked for a better birthday trip! It was relaxing and fun and warm and with people we love!

Our flight home on Friday got a little messed up when the plane out of Tampa had technical problems that caused us to miss our connection in Salt Lake. But the airline was good to us and paid for a suite overnight, meals, and first class seats on the flight home.

It was good to see our boys again, they had lots of fun stories from their week at school and with Grandma Marcia. Grandpa Tom was here by then too for the Bighorn Board meeting and Open House/Work Weekend. I can't say that it was good to be back to cold rain again, but the summer is coming soon, so I have that to look forward to!

Hooray!!! It was so good to see photographic evidence of you two enjoying each other and your vacation. I was impressed that there was no pale white glow in your pictures Cori. You must have a real tan!! I sure am thankful for you two and your friendship.
